Questions

The things people ask before they book.

If yours isn't here, call us. We answer our own phone.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, in the cabins — we're dog people ourselves and have two labs of our own. It's $30 per stay for up to two dogs. We ask that they stay leashed on the property and that you pick up after them. The two tiny homes are the exception: no pets in those.

Are all the cabins the same?

Almost. All six sleep four on a queen and two bunk beds, with the same kitchenette and amenities. The Salmonfly, cabin #1, is the exception — it's step-free and a little larger than the rest. Otherwise take whichever is open; there's no wrong choice.

Can we cook?

In the cabins you have a kitchenette — mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker, with plates, bowls, cups and wine glasses provided. Enough for breakfast and reheating, not for a roast dinner.

The two tiny homes have a proper kitchen: convection stovetop, microwave, and the pots and pans to use them. No oven in those either.

What time can we check in?

Check-in is 4pm and check-out is 10am. That said, we live here — if you need to arrive early or leave late, ask and we'll do our best to make it work.

What's the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than five days before your arrival date and you're refunded in full — one hundred percent of the total booking charges. Inside five days, we can't offer a refund.

Is there a minimum stay?

The cabins take one-night stays, which is unusual around here — most places in the valley hold out for two or three. If you're driving through to Yellowstone or coming in late off a Bozeman flight, that's the difference between stopping and not.

The two tiny homes vary; check your dates for the current minimum.

Is there wi-fi?

Starlink, across the whole property. It holds up this far into the valley, which is not something we could say a few years ago.

How far is Yellowstone?

The north entrance at Gardiner is 37 miles south of us — the only gate open to cars year-round. Bozeman is about 55 miles, Billings about 130. Chico Hot Springs is minutes up the road.

What else is on the property?

We're still fairly new owners and have a list. A common kitchen area, a fireplace area and a dog run are all in the works. If something would have made your stay better, tell us — we'd rather hear it than not.
